This Gurdwara Sahib was built in 1907 by Maharaja of Patiala,Bhupinder Singh. Grandfather of Capt. Amrinder Singh, ex . CM of Punjab. The Govt. of Himachal Pradesh has appointed A Granthi Singh for the care takeing of Gurdwara Sahib. HP Govt.has appointed this Granthi as part time (4 hrs-daily wages bases) appointment. But he is paying all duties of Granthi,Sewadar,Gardner,Watchman as well of Sweeper's duty 24 hrs.along with his wife & 3 school going daughters. -Govt.is paying him just Rs.170/- per day basis . There is much to do for the Gurdwara Sahib to fulfill the basic needs. Darbar Hall of Gurdwara Sahib is 20x60 feet, height 20 ft.Their is no Sikh Sangat around the Gurdwara Sahib except two sikh families with four members .This 104 years old Gurdwara Sahib remained unknown to the Sangat due to lack of advertisement {Parchar}. CHAIL is a popular hill station of Himachal Pradesh with natural scenery . Pleasant SNOW-FALL view can be seen here in winter season.Accomodation for 40-50 people stay also available here.

Sri Guru Ram
Das ji are known to be the Chauthi Patshahi or the Fourth Guru as well as
Guru who established the city of Amritsar. Sri Guru Ramdas ji kept alive
the tradition of first three Gurus.
Guru Ramdas was born in Lahore into a
Sodhi Khatri family residing in Mohalla Chuna Mandi. By all accounts, the date of his birth
was the second day of the dark half of the month Karthik in the Bikrami Samvat (1591 (24 September
1534). His parents Har Das and Daya Vati were known for their honest and pious living. Ram Das
was popularly addressed as Jetha, being the first-born of his parents (Sanskrit word Jayeshth means
the first).
